It has been almost three years since Caitlin, a wheelchair bride from Dublin, celebrated her wedding in an ordinary ceremony in a home in a rural part of the country.
She said she had no idea how the ceremony would go.
But now the moment has come, and Caitlin says she will never forget it.
“The most important thing is to be recognised for your work and to be celebrated for it, to be accepted,” she said.
“I feel so honoured, so honoured and honoured and so grateful.”
Caitlin said she wanted to make a difference to the lives of disabled people in Ireland.
“It’s a way of life for me,” she told the ABC.
“A lot of people think that because they have disability they’re entitled to marry. “
“But they don’t realise that in Ireland we’re just a part of society, and they’re a part [of] our family. “
“So to be able to marry somebody like me, and be a part part of this life that I want, that’s amazing.””

“The wedding was not Caitlin’s first public ceremony.
In 2009, she had a wedding ceremony for a friend in South Africa.
“Because I’m a human being, and I’m just a beautiful human being. “
I had a lot of joy, a lot more than just a little nervousness, because I had no words for what was going to happen,” Caitlin told the broadcaster.

“That smile was very different to how it normally is when I’m sitting in a chair. “
“Then, I have that big laugh, and you know, I was just so happy. “
“To be a married couple in South African society, you know that you’re a little bit on the outside looking in, but I’m so proud of that.” “

Caitlins father, Keith, is a retired army chaplain who has been active in disability advocacy for the past four decades.
The wedding, at the end of a five-day trip to South Africa for Caitlin and Ryan, was attended by about a dozen guests.
Caitlyn was given the honour of a “wedding cake” made of white flour, coconut milk, and coconut oil.
Caitline said the cake is a symbol of her husband’s work in the disability rights movement.
“He’s a pioneer, and the cake symbolises his work,” she explained.
“All I want is to help people get the recognition that they deserve.”
Caitlyn, who has three children from her marriage, said the wedding was a “very big moment”.
Caitlin married Ryan in 2009.
He is now a retired Army chaplain.
“What Caitlin does, she does really well,” he said.
Caitlelyn said her marriage to Ryan is not about money.
“Caitlyn has been working for a long time to help other people, and hopefully she will do that for others.””
It’s not about being rich, it is about a purpose, a purpose that makes people happy and helps them get their lives back on track.” “

Caitli said Caitlyn and her husband have not been able to speak with each other since her marriage was dissolved, but Caitlin is not sure if they will ever see each other again.
Caitlynn said the biggest change in her life has been her husband.
“This is a huge step, because it means I can be in a relationship again, because this has made me realise that I have a purpose in life,” Caitlynn told the BBC.

You’re just living your life and being who you are, but it does give me something to focus on.”
